We appreciate your interest in partnering with us and with this community! Please know that 100% of your donations will be applied directly to our projects to benefit the kids and the community in Tanzania. We are a completely volunteer-run organization, both here in the United States and locally, and the Board of Directors is committed to covering all our overhead costs.  That way you know that your money is directly impacting lives. Tumaini Tanzania is registered as a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation will be tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.  Upon receiving your donation, a receipt will be mailed to you (electronically if you donate online; by mail if you donate by check).  Thank you!

COST DETAILS

• Full scholarships for one year:

  • University: $3,000/student

  • Forms V-VI, Teachers College, or Vocational School: $1,000/student

  • Forms I-IV: $300/student

• Lunch meals for one year: $90/student

• Desk (retained for all four years): $50/student

• Uniform Set: $40/student

• Academic Materials: $30/student

• Flashlight Project: $10/student

All costs listed above are approximate; actual expenses tend to change year-to-year based on local economic conditions, currency exchange rates, etc.  Every student and his/her family commits to investing their own resources to support the student’s education, so each scholarship is individually tailored to meet the needs of each student.
